Christian Science Reading Rooms are located in cities and towns across the world and were established by the founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. Like other Reading Rooms, ours in Birmingham provides an opportunity to read and purchase the Bible and the publications of the Christian Science Publishing Society, which include the monthly Christian Science Journal, as well as the weekly Christian Science Sentinel and Christian Science Bible Lesson (which is read aloud during Sunday Services). We also stock a range of other publications and audio CDs.

You are also welcome to visit the Reading Room just to sit quietly and read the publications in stock. There is no obligation to buy anything! The attendant on duty will also be happy to talk with you about Christian Science.

The Reading Room is open from 12 noon until 2pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, as well as from 6:30pm to 7pm on Wednesdays (before the weekly Testimony Meeting).
